Sophia Knight Named Mountain West Player of the Week

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Sophia Knight is the Mountain West Player of the Week, the conference announced, Monday.

The sophomore batted .615 (8-for-13) with four RBI and five runs as Boise State swept three games at home during the Blue Collar Classic and defeated Montana in Pocatello at the Black and Orange Classic hosted by Idaho State.

Knight scored a run in each game to extend her school record to 24-straight outings crossing home plate.

The Huntington Beach, California native had three multi-hit games to give her 20 for the season. She is the third player in school history with 20 or more multi-hit games in two different seasons.

It is the first player of the week honor for Knight this year and second of her career. The Broncos have won at least one conference award each of the last four weeks.
