Boise State to Host Utah Tech for Senior Day

WHAT'S NEXT: The Boise State women's tennis team will compete in its final nonconference match against Utah Tech at 11 a.m. on Sunday, March 9, at Appleton Tennis Center on Sunday.
SENIOR DAY: Boise State will honor its two seniors ahead of the match. Ariadna Briones Ginesta and Bhakti Shah will both be recognized prior to the start of play. The two seniors post a combined 73 singles wins.
SCOUTING THE TRAILBLAZERS: The Trailblazers (1-8) enter the contest seeking their second win of the season. Boise State leads the all-time series 3-0, having last defeated Utah Tech 7-0 on Feb. 21, 2021, in Salt Lake City.
HOT STARTS: Several Broncos are off to hot starts this spring in singles, including Paula Schaefer (9-1), Ariadna Briones Ginesta (7-1), Zdena Safarova (7-2), Maya Dutta (6-1) and Bhakti Shah (6-2)
MW PLAYERS OF THE WEEK: Dutta has earned one Mountain West Player of the Week award and three MW Freshman of the Week honors, the most conference weekly awards a single player has received in program history. Safarova has also earned MW Player of the Week honors once, marking the first time Boise State has earned five weekly awards in a season.
HOME COURT ADVANTAGE: The Broncos are a perfect 7-0 at home this season, the best home start since the 2012-13 season when the team began 8-0 at home.
