SAN JOSE, Calif. – Boise State lost 10-2 at San Jose State in Mountain West softball Sunday.

The Broncos (30-20, 8-11 Mountain West) jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first inning. Mykenzie Hanna singled with one out and Makenzie Butt launched a two-run home run.

San Jose State (22-24, 9-10) responded with a run in the first. The Spartans scored seven in the fourth and sealed the win with a pair of unearned runs in the sixth.

Boise State hosts Utah State in a three-game series beginning Thursday at 6 p.m.
