BOISE, Idaho – Boise State women's basketball earned a 70-62 win over Air Force in ExtraMile Arena on Wednesday night.

The Broncos (21-6, 12-4 Mountain West) overcame a 12-point deficit against the Falcons (12-14, 6-10) to sweep the regular season series.

Boise State opened the scoring at the 8:54 mark when Libby Hutton made a free throw. Emily Adams answered with a jumper to give Air Force a 2-1 lead, then Jayda McNabb stole the inbound and finished at the rim for a layup. Hutton followed with a layup of her own to tie the game at 6-6.

Adams added another layup to put Air Force ahead 8-6. Freshman Morgan Maldonado came up with a steal and found Dani Bayes for a triple, giving Boise State a 9-8 advantage. The lead continued to change as McNabb scored inside and Maldonado converted an and-one for an 11-9 Broncos lead. Marissa Hargrave and McNabb combined for five points to push Air Force in front 14-11, but Pasco responded with an and-one to spark a 6-0 Boise State run. Bayes buried a three to make it 17-15. McNabb added another layup late in the quarter, and despite a two minute scoring drought, the game was tied 17-17 at the end of the first.

Pasco opened the second quarter with a 3-pointer. Milahnie Perry, the MW's leading scorer, got back-to-back jumpers to give Air Force a 21-20 lead. Alexis Cortez knocked down a triple, and Tatum Thompson added a jumper before both teams hit a cold stretch that lasted nearly three minutes. Keelie O'Hollaren ended the Falcons' drought with a jumper, and Tatum Thompson answered on the other end. Air Force carried a 30-26 lead into halftime.

Pasco once again opened the scoring in the third quarter with a jumper, but Adams responded quickly with a layup. O'Hollaren drilled a 3-pointer, and Hutton countered with a layup. Air Force went on a 7-0 run, but Boise State answered with a 9-0 run of its own, scoring seven points in just 56 seconds. Pasco capped the quarter with a triple as the Falcons maintained a narrow 48-46 lead heading into the fourth.

To start the fourth quarter, Tatum Thompson tied the game at 48-48 with two free throws at the 9:35 mark, then gave Boise State its first lead since the opening quarter with another free throw at 8:57. Air Force briefly regained the lead at 50-49 on an Adams drive, but freshman Kenna Garza answered with a layup to put the Broncos back in front.

The back-and-forth lead change continued as Perry hit a jumper to make it 52-51 Air Force. Thompson responded to give Boise State a 53-52 edge, and Pasco extended the lead to 55-52 with a jumper. McNabb ended a two-and-a-half-minute Air Force scoring drought to pull the Falcons within one, but Hutton converted an and-one to make it 58-54. Hansen added a layup for a 60-54 advantage before Perry answered with an and-one to cut it to 60-56. Hutton scored again and then blocked Air Force's next shot, helping push the lead to 62-56. Tatum Thompson added another and-one to stretch the margin to 65-58, and the Broncos closed it out at the free-throw line to secure the 70-62 victory.
