PHOENIX – Boise State men's tennis split its matches, falling 5-2 to No. 60 Grand Canyon before bouncing back with a 7-0 win over Lipscomb.
 
#60 Grand Canyon
No. 60 Grand Canyon (10-1, 1-0 Mountain West) jumped out to an early 1-0 lead over No. 63 Boise State (7-3, 0-1) after securing the doubles point. Daniel Jankoski and Brice Patoux finished first on court one, defeating Carson Baker and Avery Tallakson 6-3. Tim Hohmann and Charlie Pade then clinched the point for the Lopes with a 6-4 victory over Stewart Aronson and Filip Soderqvist on court three.
 
Tallakson evened the score for the Broncos with a 7-5, 6-2 victory over Andreas Loizas on court two. Baker then gave Boise State a 2-1 lead with a 7-5, 6-1 win against Dirodan Macababbad on court four. Jankoski responded for Grand Canyon, defeating Aronson 7-5, 6-3 on court three to tie the match at 2-2.
 
Berard earned a 6-3, 4-6, 6-2 victory over Soderqvist on court one to give the Lopes a 3-2 lead. Pade clinched the team victory for Grand Canyon with a 6-2, 6-7 (5), 6-4 win over Taiyo Kurata on court six. To round out the match, Patoux defeated Lukas Velik 7-6 (4), 4-6, 7-5 on court five to secure the 5-2 win for the Lopes.
 
Lipscomb
Boise State (8-3) earned an early 1-0 advantage over Lipscomb (5-4) after clinching the doubles point. On court three, Idriss Haddouch and Soderqvist teamed up for a 6-2 victory over Oskar Szymczak and Oliver Thoeny. Kurata and Julius Seifert followed shortly after with another 6-2 win over Henrique Ushizima and Filippo Verdese on court one, clinching the doubles point.
 
The Broncos clinched the team win with three straight-set singles victories. Haddouch defeated Thoeny 6-2, 6-3 on court six, followed by a 7-5, 6-0 victory for Aronson over Vlahos on court three. Seifert then secured the match with a 7-6 (5), 6-2 win against Szymczak on court five.
 
Soderqvist finished next on court one with a 6-4, 3-6, 6-4 victory over Facundo Perlov. Kurata followed with a 6-4, 3-6, 7-6 (5) win over Ushizima on court four, and Baker closed out the match on court two with a 6-7 (6), 7-5, 1-0 (7) victory over Verdese to complete the 7-0 sweep for Boise State.
