Broncos Lose Twice in Arkansas

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Boise State's bats were held in check and the Broncos lost games to Kansas and No. 5 Arkansas at the Wooo Pig Classic, Friday.

The Broncos (8-10) managed just three hits against the Jayhawks (12-6) in a 4-1 setback and were held to one hit by the Razorbacks (15-1) in a 10-1 run-rule loss.

In the first game of the day, Boise State took a 1-0 lead in the top of the third courtesy of a pair of free passes and an RBI-double by Quinn Southerland. Kansas belted a pair of two-run home runs to account for its runs in the victory.

Arkansas scored four in the second and five in the fifth to cruise in the second game. Boise State's only run came off the bat of Jorja Crider in the fourth inning when she blasted her second home run of the season.
