Men's Tennis Earns Two More Victories

BOISE, Idaho – Boise State men's tennis picked up two more victories to round out a four-match weekend at Boas Indoor Tennis Center.
 
The Broncos first defeated Linfield 7-0, then followed with a 6-1 victory over Idaho.
 
Linfield
Boise State (4-2) claimed a dominant doubles point to take an early advantage over Linfield (0-3), with all three matches ending in 6-0 sweeps. Taiyo Kurata and Julius Seifert finished first on court one, defeating Brooks Lerfald and Zac Nakajima. Adam Duda and Idriss Haddouch followed on court two with a win over Joey Henderson and Cameron Paulsen, while Stewart Aronson and Filip Soderqvist completed the doubles point on court three against Nickolas Owens and Alexander Rosenquist.
 
In singles play, Haddouch was the first off the court at No. 4, defeating Paulsen 6-1, 6-1. Aronson followed with a 6-1, 6-0 victory over Lerfald on court one. Duda clinched the match for the Broncos with a 6-1, 6-0 win over Rosenquist.
 
Boise State rounded out the sweep with additional wins from Lukas Velik on court two (6-0, 6-0), Michael Seversen on court six (6-2, 6-1) and Seifert on court three (6-3, 6-1), securing the 7-0 victory.
 
Idaho
The Broncos (5-2) once again secured the doubles point to take a 1-0 lead over Idaho (3-7) heading into singles play. Court three finished first as Duda and Haddouch earned a 6-2 win over Xavier Martin and Eric Wang. Aronson and Soderqvist clinched the doubles point on court two with a 6-3 victory over Noe De Col and Mikolaj Lis.
 
Seifert earned the first singles win on court five, defeating Martin 6-2, 6-1. Soderqvist followed with a 6-4, 6-4 win over Lis. Velik clinched the match for Boise State with a 6-2, 6-0 victory on court four.
 
Haddouch added a 6-1, 6-4 win, followed by Kurata's 6-4, 7-5 victory. Aronson dropped his match 5-7, 1-0 (7) to Chetanna Amadike as the Broncos closed out the 6-1 win over the Vandals.
 
Notables
  • The Broncos have earned their fifth-straight win over Idaho, leading the all-time series 54-22. Boise State also leads the home series 43-7.
  • Boise State leads the Linfield all-time series 2-0.
  • Stewart Aronson picked up his first career singles win at No. 1.
