BOISE, Idaho – Boise State men's tennis extended its winning streak to five matches with a 6-1 victory over Wichita State on Friday night.

Boise State (6-2) jumped out to an early 1-0 lead after securing the doubles point. Carson Baker and Avery Tallakson finished first on court one with a 6-2 win over Zaid Mashni and Pablo Roche Alcaya. Wichita State (4-7) evened the doubles competition on court three, where Lukas Velik and Idriss Haddouch fell 6-3 to Rodrigo Cruz and Ilias Hirani Worthington. Stewart Aronson and Filip Soderqvist clinched the doubles point for the Broncos with a 6-4 victory over Alejandro Jacome and Amir Milushev on court two.

Baker opened singles play with a 6-3, 6-1 win over Roche Alcaya at the No. 4 spot. Julius Seifert followed with a 6-3, 6-4 victory against Cruz on court six. Velik secured the team win for Boise State, defeating Luke Bracks 6-4, 6-4 on court five.

Tallakson added to the Broncos' score on court one, rallying from a set down to defeat Hirani Worthington 3-6, 6-4, 6-3. Wichita State earned its lone point when Jacome topped Aronson 7-6 (4), 6-3 on court three. Soderqvist closed out the match at No. 2 with a comeback, defeating nationally ranked No. 101 Mashni 3-6, 6-4, 6-2. The Broncos earned a 6-1 team win.
