Broncos Win Seventh Straight

SAINT GEORGE, Utah – Boise State women's tennis team earned its seventh straight victory and fourth consecutive sweep, defeating Utah Tech 7-0 on Saturday.
The Broncos' (8-2) top doubles pair, Zdena Safarova and Tereza Polakova, earned their fifth win at the No. 1 position, defeating Mariana Zurita Berdecio and Ana Gutierrez Sampere 6-2. Boise State clinched the doubles point on court three, where Carla Grignac and Masa Viriant teamed up for the first time this season to earn a 6-3 win.
Polakova opened singles with a dominant 6-1, 6-1 victory on court three, while Paula Schaefer followed with a straight-set win of her own, 6-0, 6-4, at the No. 5 position.
Leading 3-0, Safarova clinched the team victory, defeating Zurita Berdecio 6-1, 6-4. Grignac at No. 6, Viriant at No. 3 and Allison Isaacs at No. 4 secured points five, six and seven to complete the sweep.
