BOISE, Idaho – Boise State men's tennis lost 4-3 to San Diego State at Appleton Tennis Center, Saturday afternoon.

San Diego State took an early edge over Boise State by securing the doubles point. The Aztecs struck first on court one, but the duo of Stewart Aronson and Filip Soderqvist followed with a 6-3 win over Lars Johann and Denis Maijorov on court two. A second victory on court three sealed the doubles point for San Diego State.

In singles play, Lukas Velik put Boise State on the board with a 4-6, 6-3, 6-1 comeback win over Finn Willman on court three. However, San Diego State responded by winning matches on courts one and six to build a 3-1 lead. Soderqvist kept the Broncos within reach with a 7-6 (3), 3-6, 6-4 victory over Johann on court five and Aronson added a hard-fought 3-6, 6-3, 7-5 win over Gonzalez on court two.

Despite the late push, Boise State couldn't complete the comeback, as San Diego State claimed the final match on court three to secure a 4-3 victory.
