BOISE STATE TENURE

Sekou Bangoura joined the Boise State men's tennis coaching staff in the summer of 2024 as the second assistant coach for the program. His responsibilities at Boise State will include on-court coaching during practice sessions and live matches, as well as assisting with recruiting. 

PRIOR TO BOISE STATE

Before coming to Boise State, Bangoura served as a private tennis coach at various locations throughout Florida from 2018 through this summer. Among the places he has coached were the Tampa Palms Country Club and Saddlebrook Resort. Following a brief college career, Bangoura turned pro in 2011 and competed professionally for the last 14 years. He has been ranked in the top 140 by the ATP for doubles and the top 220 for singles. He has played in the U.S. Open doubles main draw and in the qualifying rounds for singles.

COLLEGE PLAYING CAREER

Bangoura played two years of collegiate tennis for the Florida Gators (2010-2011), during which time he went 55-17 in singles and 37-25 in doubles.
