- Honors: Academic All-Mountain West...Mountain West Scholar-Athlete (3.5 or better cumulative GPA).
- Fall Season: Transferred to Boise State from Tyler (Texas) Junior College during the summer of 2021...played in three tournaments going 2-5 in singles and 3-2 in doubles...reached the singles flight semifinal of the Bulldog Invite (Oct. 27-29) at Gonzaga...in doubles he reached the final of the Bulldog Invite with teammate Kyryll Kryvchun.
- Spring Season: Recorded a team-best 12-4 record in singles during the team dual season splitting time between the fifth and sixth positions...was undefeated at 4-0 in MW matches...went 7-2 on court five and 5-2 on court six...in doubles he tallied a 6-9 dual mark...played with three different partners, but went 5-5 at the third position with Michael Bott.
- Honors: Named National Junior College Athletic Association All-American in both singles and doubles...national NJCAA Division I champion in singles (flight three) and doubles (flight two).Â
- Singles: Helped the Tyler JC Apache to their third NJCAA Division I National Team Championship in four years — there was no tournament in 2020...won the NJCAA Division I Flight Three National Singles Championship and earned All-American recognition...went undefeated in singles going 18-0 overall on his way to the national championship...finished spring 2021 ranked 18th nationally in NJCAA Division I.
- Doubles: NJCAA Division I Flight Two National Doubles Champion with teammate Alan Magaden...he went a combined 16-3 with three different partners...went 12-1 with Magadan on their way to claiming the national title...finished spring 2021 ranked ninth nationally in NJCAA Division I for doubles with Magadan.
- Doubles: As a freshman in fall of 2019, Minakata and doubles partner Matthew Beecher were finalists at the ITA Regional Championships and placed fifth at the ITA Cup.Â
- Junior Tennis: Claimed both the 2017 and 2018 Big Island (Hawaii) Interscholastic Federation Individual Championship in singles...won the doubles titles at the 2016 and 2017 ITA Grade 5 Noumea New Caledonia Tournament.
