OVERALL: Recorded a 3-4 singles record on the year, went 2-4 in the fall and 1-0 during the spring ... tallied a 10-8 doubles mark overall, 6-6 in tournaments and 4-2 in team duals ... went 7-3 when paired with Max Blancaneaux.
FALL HIGHLIGHTS: Played in three fall tournaments going a combined 2-4 in singles and 3-4 in doubles ... in singles play, split two matches at the ISU Bank of Commerce Invitational (Sept. 28-30) defeating Idaho State’s Ryan Boddington in straight sets 6-3, 6-0 ... defeated Portland State’s Otto Hotari (Oct. 27) 7-5, 6-2 at the Bulldog Classic (Gonzaga) at Spokane, Wash. ... went 2-3 in doubles paired with Tim Heslin including a 8-6 victory over Southern Utah’s Morales/Tordoff at the ITA Mountain Regional in Provo, Utah (Oct. 18-22) ... went 1-1 when teamed with Ryland McDermott tallying a 8-4 win over Eastern Washington’s tandem of Bats/Sears at the Bulldog Classic.
SPRING HIGHLIGHTS: In singles play - Won his lone match in three sets over Whitman’s (Jan. 27) Robert Carter 6-3, 3-6, 7-5. Doubles play while paired with Blancaneaux - defeated Villanova’s (March 4) Mike Czlonka and Tom Mulfur 6-2 ... downed Boston College’s (March 3) Jeff Melvin and Will Turner 6-3, 6-2 and UC Irvine’s Mason Hansena and Luca Marquard 6-4, 4-6, 6-3 at Pacific Coast Doubles Championship ... beat Idaho State’s (April 8) No. 3 tandem of Keegen Sullivan and Austin Gwilliam 6-4.
2016-17 | FRESHMAN SEASON
OVERALL: Went 5-13 overall in singles and 2-7 in spring duals playing primarily the No. 6 position ... was 6-13 in doubles on the year and 4-7 in spring duals playing both the No. 2 and 3 positions.
FALL HIGHLIGHTS: Played in two fall tournaments going 2-5 in singles and 2-4 in doubles ... first action for Boise State came at the Racquet Club Collegiate Invitational (Sept. 16-18) at Midland, Texas, where he went 1-2 in singles with a straight-set victory 6-2, 6-2 over Wichita State’s Austin Williams; also went 1-1 in doubles playing with Pedro Platzeck, they recorded a 8-6 win over Auburn’s tandem of Edward Nguyen and Olle Thestrup in the round of 32 ... also competed at the Gopher Invite (Nov. 4-6) in Minneapolis, Minn., where he went 1-3 tallying a straight set victory over Pennsylvania’s Kaden Funk 6-1, 6-2.
SPRING HIGHLIGHTS: Played in 14 dual matches during the spring duals season going 3-7 overall in singles and 4-9 in doubles ... recorded a three-set victory over Utah’s (Jan. 14) Joe Woolley 6-7(5),6-4, 6-2 ... defeated Denver’s Wyatt Lovera in three 2-6, 7-6(5), 6-3 ... in doubles teamed with Kyle Butters to go 2-3 on court two, including a win over Cal Poly’s (Jan. 23) Garrett Auproux and Tim Tan 6-3 ... teamed with Brian Tran to defeat Alabama’s Thibault Cancel and Zhe Zhou 7-6(7) at the Blue Gray National Tennis Classic (Feb. 25).
JUNIOR TENNIS
Originally from Hertfordshire, England, where he was a standout among the youth ranks of the United Kingdom ... solid experience playing in the junior ranks and on men’s teams ... was consistently ranked among the top-10 nationally for his age group in the U.K. since he was 10 years old ... had competed at the highest levels of youth tennis in both singles and doubles where he won several national and regional tour titles during his career ... reached the 2015 Nike British Junior Doubles Championship for the U18s at Nottinghamshire, England ... has represented his County (State) in all junior age groups and was voted the MVP for the U18s twice as an 14 and 15 year old ... since 16 years of age he played for the Men’s County Team, which competes in the highest national divisions during the winter and summer, among Shackleton’s teammates on the men’s team were several professionals including Aljaz Bedene (ATP59) ... also competed for Aegon Team Tennis in singles and doubles helping the club to the playoffs on a couple of occasions ... has played in England’s Men’s National Players Doubles League where he advanced as far as the semifinals on one occasion.
