Boise State Falls 4-0 at San Diego State

SAN DIEGO, Calif. (3/8/2015) - Boise State's men's tennis team fell 4-0 at San Diego State in a Mountain West Conference match Sunday afternoon. The Broncos dropped two of three doubles matches then fell in the first three singles contests completed as Boise State fell to 5-9 overall and 1-1 in league play.
San Diego State opened by winning the doubles point with wins on courts one and three. Boise State's Toby Mitchell and Garrett Patton fell 6-3 at No.1 doubles followed by a 6-3 defeat by Brian Foley and Abe Hewko at the third position. Lewis Roskilly and Thomas Tenreiro were leading 5-3 when their match was stopped following the clinching of the team point.
Boise State dropped further behind when Foley fell 6-1, 6-3 on court four to open singles play. That was followed by Broncos defeats at No. 5 singles by Roskilly 7-5, 6-2 and on court three by Mitchell 6-4, 6-4.
The other three singles matches reached third sets when they were abandoned once the team victory was decided.
Next up for the Broncos is a home match versus the University of Oregon on Sunday, March 15, at the Appleton Tennis Center on campus.
