DeMulling and Arca Costas Fall at ITA Mountain Regional

Both Broncos fell in the consolation quarterfinals.

LAS VEGAS, Nev. – Boise State's run at the 2018 ITA Mountain Region Championships at Las Vegas came to an end on Wednesday as both Wyatt DeMulling and Simon Arca Costas were defeated in the consolation quarterfinals.
 
DeMulling opened the day with a dominating straight-set victory 6-1, 6-2 over Southern Utah's Agustin Tamagnone in the morning's consolation round of 16. The junior then fell 6-0, 7-5 in the afternoon to Matt Summer of Denver in the quarterfinals.   
 
Arca Costas advanced to the consolation quarterfinals following a walkover in the round of 16 as Utah's David Micevski withdrew from the tournament. The freshman then faced Northern Arizona's Lucas Taylor, seeded 11th at the regional, in the afternoon falling 7-5, 6-2.  
 
The second loss at the tournament for both DeMulling and Arca Costas ended Boise State's participation at the regional championships.
 
Boise State will return to action next week when the Broncos travel to the Gonzaga Bulldog Invitational at Spokane, Wash.
