POLLERCOASTER: The Broncos are predicted to do some damage in a poll of the Mountain West's coaches. The men enter as the favorite, garnering five of the eight first-place votes for 47 points, outpacing defending champion Colorado State by three points.

On the women's side, the Broncos are poised for their closest finish with 10-time reigning champion, New Mexico. Boise State received four of the 11 first-place votes to rank second with 94 points, three back of the Lobos.

IN THE RANKINGS: The USTFCCCA continues to show plenty of love for the Broncos entering conference championship week. Both the men's (8th) and women's (2nd) teams continue to rank in the top 10 in the latest coaches' poll. Boise State also recently recorded a historic placing in the inaugural Cross Country Rankings Index (CCRI) – USTFCCCA's version of RPI.

CCRI, which utilizes several analytics, primarily focused on individual rankings, to rank all cross country programs in the nation. The women still rank second in CCRI, but the men moved three spots from their coaches' ranking into fifth. Boise State is the only program in the nation to have both teams rank in the top five of the first CCRI.

RETURN TO BALBOA PARK: Tomorrow's race will provide a return to Balboa Park for several members of the Boise State lineup and staff. The park is one of the primary hosts to the Foot Locker National Cross Country Championships for high school athletes.

Boise State head coach Corey Ihmels won the 1991 championship, then known as Kinney National Championships, by 25 seconds prior to an All-American career at Iowa State. Elijah Armstrong, Addison Dehaven and Claire Graves all competed at the event during their prep careers as well.
