BRONCOS HOST TWO HOME MATCHES THIS WEEKEND
Boise State's women's tennis team is preparing to host two home matches this upcoming weekend against Weber State and Lewis Clark State on Friday and Saturday respectively.Â
After handling in-state foe Idaho State last weekend 6-1, the Broncos are ready to keep the ball rolling as they head into a busy weekend of action.
Â
"This is a good platform to start at, but we definitely have some challenges ahead of us next weekend," said head coach Beck Roghaar after the match against Idaho State. "We are going to do everything we can to prepare and get ready for Weber and LCSC coming in."
Â
Weber State will enter the match at 0-1 after dropping their opener to BYU 5-2. LCSC will also be entering the match at 0-1 after dropping their match to Whitman on Monday 7-2.
Â
Friday's contest against Weber State will begin at noon, while the tilt against LCSC on Saturday will start up at 8 a.m. Both matches will be held at Boas Indoor Tennis Center

WHAT'S THE SCOOP
The win over Idaho State was Roghaar's 100th collegiate victory as a head coach. All 100 of his wins have been here at Boise State where he is in his ninth year with the program.Â
LAST TIME OUT
The Boise State women's tennis team opened their season last weekend with a 6-1 win over Idaho State to hand head coach Beck Roghaar his 100th career victory. After dropping the doubles point 2-1, the Broncos rallied by sweeping all six singles contests. The duo of Lilian Poling and Wilhelmina Palmer led the way teaming up to win at No. 1 doubles, then followed win singles victories on courts two and one, respectively.Â
PLAYER TO WATCH
Junior Wiktoria Nosek was named last week's player of the match by her teammates and coaches after she cruised to a two set singles victory over Idaho State's Melissa Coburn 6-3, 6-0 at the No. 3 position and won the first point of the match for the Broncos.Â
HEAD COACH BECK ROGHAAR
With a career record of 100-80 and six winning seasons, Roghaar has made his mark on Boise State in his ninth season with the program. He became the second coach in program history to reach 100 wins on January 19, 2019 after a 6-1 win against Idaho State. Last season he coached the team to a 14-8 record and the Mountain West Mountain Division regular season title after going 5-0 against divisional opponents. The 2011 WAC Coach of the Year continues to build a rising Boise State program that has been built on the values of toughness and passion.Â
BOISE TIES
Three freshmen on the team have ties to Boise. Sydnie Binder attended Borah High School in Boise before moving to Oregon. Camryn Moortgatt was born and lived in Boise before moving to Dallas, Texas, before high school. Corey Patton Lossner is the niece of former Boise State head men's tennis coach Greg Patton.Â
YOUTH BE SERVED
Three Boise State freshmen debuted for the Broncos last weekend against Idaho State. Sydnie Binder played at No. 3 doubles, while Emily Strande played No. 4 singles and Frankie Trella played at No. 6 singles. The threesome combined for a 2-1 over mark.Â
