Broncos Make It A Sweep Over NAU

Home win streak grows to 26 straight stretching 10 years.
BOISE, Idaho - Boise State swimming and diving rolled to a second victory over Northern Arizona on the weekend defeating the Lumberjacks on Senior Day 143-78 Saturday morning. Boise State won titles in eight of the 12 events on the day led by junior Robin Pinger with two individual races and one relay.
The victory over NAU extended the Broncos' home win streak to 26 straight stretching 10 years, while the Blue and Orange improved to 9-3 overall.
Boise State claimed both relays on the day starting with the 200 medley relay to open the meet where the Broncos' A team (Ally Kleinsorgen, Laura Williams, Abbey Sorensen, Cody Evans) clocked a 1:44.17. The Blue and Orange closed the meet when the Broncos' juniors (Georgia Zacest, Jamie Nats, Emmie Jennings, Pinger) winning the 400 freestyle relay with a time of 3:27.12 to out pace the seniors (Evans, Sorensen, Kleinsorgen and Anne Boodt) who clocked a 3:31.35.
Junior Ally Schultz recorded a big win in the 1,000 free with a 10:27.34 to out pace second place by nearly eight seconds. Nats took third in the 1,000 with a 10:37.16.
Pinger began her run to three titles by claiming the 100 individual medley recording a 56.24, followed by Boise State's Williams (56.26) and Sorensen (58.29). Pinger then clocked a 29.06 to win the 50-yard breaststroke, an event that is rarely swam at the college level. Senior Laura Williams placed second to Pinger in the 50 breast with a 29.12.
Cody Evans capped off her home career as the senior brought home the win in the 200 free turning in a 1:51.34. Sophomore Brittany Wen placed second on a 1:54.17.
Jennings led a Boise State duo that finished one-two in the 100 butterfly turning in a time of 56.52 followed by Emma Segneri (57.91).
Sorensen won the 50 free in 23.08 out touching fellow senior Ally Kleinsorgen who finished in 23.78.
Marti Erlam led the Boise State diving trio scoring a team-high 285.68 to place third, while Cassidy Bose had 264.15 to take fourth while Tatum Thompkins recorded a 249.23 for fifth.
Kleinsorgen claimed the title in the 100 backstroke with a time of 55.42. She led a pack of four Broncos who took the four places with Madesyn Ronquillio (55.83) taking second, Zacest (57.34) third and Kaitlyn McCoy (58.21) fourth.
Kai Nabeta recorded the top time (2:24.52) in the 200 breaststroke swimming the race as an exhibition. Zacest was just behind with a time of 2:27.23 in exhibition placing second overall.
Wen wrapped up the individual races for Boise State by taking second in the 400 individual medley recording a 4:34.15. Anne Boodt took fourth with a 4:41.18.
