THIS WEEK

● WHAT'S HAPPENING: Boise State (16-9, 8-6 MW) is on the road for the final time in the regular season when the Broncos travel to Wyoming and No. 12 Colorado State. 
● THURSDAY: Boise State opens the trip Thursday night at 6:30 p.m. (MT) against the second-place Wyoming Cowgirls (17-8, 12-2 MW) ... the Cowgirls won the first encounter of the year with the Broncos 3-1 in Boise (Oct. 19). 
● SATURDAY: The Broncos will wrap up the week with an early match starting at Noon (MT) at 12th-ranked Colorado State (24-1, 14-0 MW) ... the Rams defeated the Broncos in five at Boise (Oct. 17) in the first meeting ... it will be Senior Day for CSU. 

BOISE STATE NOTES

BOISE STATE'S RECORD
â—Ź Boise State enters week 12 of the season at 16-9 overall and 8-6 (fourth place) in MW play.
â—Ź Boise State's three nonconference losses came against teams ranked in the top-21 at the time of the match: at No. 9 BYU, vs. No. 16 Marquette in Provo, Utah, and at No. 21 Missouri.
● Boise State is 0-4 against top-25 teams this season adding a loss  to Colorado State to the three ranked nonconference opponents.
â—ŹThe Broncos are 4-3 at home.

BRONCOS CLINCH WINNING SEASON
â—Ź The Broncos' 16 victories clinched a winning season for the program.
â—Ź This marks the sixth straight winning season for the team and the ninth under head coach Shawn Garus in 11 years.

NATIONALLY RANKED IN BLOCKS
â—Ź The Broncos are ranked fourth nationally and first in the Mountain West for blocks per set at 2.96, as well as first in league and fourth nationally for total blocks with 278.0.

DONAHUE ANCHORING THE BLUE WALL
â—Ź Last year, Jessica Donahue led the Broncos with 135 blocks to rank 14th in a season all-time at Boise State.
â—Ź In 2019 she leads once again with 143 blocks entering the week to rank first in the MW and seventh nationally.
● On the year, she is first in the MW and fifth in NCAA for blocks per set at 1.55. 
â—Ź In MW play she has a league-high 99 blocks and leads with 1.77 per set ... she has tallied at least six in 11 of 14 MW matches and has a high of 12 versus Nevada (Oct. 3).
â—Ź Her 12 blocks against Nevada (Oct. 3) was a career-high and tied the school record (rally scoring era) for blocks in a match ... has five career matches with double-figure blocks, four with 10 and one with 12.
â—Ź Donahue has 17 contests this season with five or more blocks.
â—Ź She is ranked sixth in the MW on the year for hitting percentage at .318.


DONAHUE EYEING BLOCK RECORD
â—Ź Sophomore Jessica Donahue is having an outstanding season blocking and is eyeing a potential school record for blocks in a season with 143 entering the week, 26 short of tying the record of 169.


WALLEY LEADS THE BRONCOS
● After 25 matches, Janell Walley has played a big part in the Broncos success this season hitting a team-best 36.6 percent ... she has hit 40 percent or better in eight matches to date and above 30 percent in 13. 
â—Ź She has tallied 249 kills, 21 service aces, four block solos and 70 block assists for a team-high 309.0 points on the year.
â—Ź Walley is fourth in the MW and 48th nationally for hitting percentage (.366).
â—Ź She has recorded 14 matches on the year in double-figure kills.
â—Ź Walley tied her career-high for kills against Middle Tennessee (Sept. 6) with 19 ... then broke it with 23 in the victory over Austin Peay (Sept. 13).
● She has eight double-doubles on the year for a team-high 16 in her career. 


OHLINGER SHINING IN DEBUT SEASON
â—Ź True freshman Lauren Ohlinger leads the team in kills with 272 for a 2.80 per set average ... she is fourth on the team in digs with 233 (2.48 dps), fifth in blocks with 53 and first in points with 327.5.
â—Ź Ohlinger has led the team in points eight times and in kills on nine occasions, including five straight entering the week.
â—Ź The freshman has recorded double-digit kills in 12 contests to date, including nine in conference play.
â—Ź She had a career-high 22 kills in the victory at New Mexico (Oct. 3) ... had 21 kills in the home win over UNM (Nov. 9).
● Ohlinger enters the week as one of four Broncos who has recorded a double-double on the season with eight to her name in 2019. 

BOSS AT SETTER 
● On the year she has 939 assists on the year to rank 19th all-time in program history for a single season ... she is 61 short of becoming the 16th Bronco in history to reach the 1,000 assists in a season milestone. 
â—Ź Boss is fourth in the MW on the year for assists per set at 10.00 ... in league play she has 541 assists to rank fourth and averages 9.66 per set to rank fifth.
● The sophomore has 246 digs to rank second on the team ... she averages 2.62 per set, third on team. 
● She has 11 matches this season with 40-plus assists. 
● The sophomore setter has a team-high 12 double-doubles on the year, all by assists and digs. 

CHANGING LINEUPS
â—Ź To date, 14 different Broncos, everyone not redshirting, have earned at least one start (not including libero position) in the first 25 contests.
● At this time only Lauren Ohlinger and Danielle Boss have started every match. 

MATCH PREVIEWS

WYOMING PREVIEW
â—Ź Boise State opens the week at Wyoming at 6:30 p.m. (Mountain) on Thursday in Laramie.
● The Cowgirls won the first meeting of the year in Boise when they defeated the Broncos in four on Oct. 19. 
â—Ź Wyoming enters the week in second place in the league standings at 12-2 and 17-8 overall ... they are coming off three straight victories over Air Force (3-0), San Diego State (3-0) and Fresno State (3-1), the last two on the road.
● Wyoming has been hitting 23.7 percent (2nd MW) and holding its opponents to 18.8 percent (3rd MW). 
● The Cowgirls were picked to place second out of 11 teams in the MW coaches poll.    
â—Ź Boise State is 12-14 all-time versus Wyoming and 10-9 in MW matches.

COLORADO STATE PREVIEW
â—Ź The Broncos close the road trip on Saturday at Noon (MT) against 12th-ranked Colorado State in Fort Collins.
â—Ź The Broncos took CSU (Oct. 17) to five sets earlier this year in Boise before falling.
â—Ź Colorado State enters the week 24-1 overall and 14-0 in league play ... they have won 23 straight including sweeping a pair of road contests last week at Fresno State (Nov. 7) and at San Diego State (Nov. 9), both by 3-0 scores.
â—Ź The Rams lead the MW in hitting at 28.5 percent (9th NCAA), they are No. 1 in the MW and NCAA for opponents hitting percentage at .106, they are second in the MW behind the Broncos and sixth nationally in blocking at 2.92 per set.
â—Ź The Broncos are 1-17 all-time against the Rams and 1-15 in MW play.
● Colorado State was predicted to repeat as champions in the 2019 MW race out of 11 teams.
