Broncos Prepare for Nationals

BOISE, Idaho – Both of the Boise State cross country teams are headed to the NCAA Championships, Nov. 23, hosted by Indiana State in Terre Haute, Ind.

Men are making their fifth-straight appearance at nationals, while the women are making their fifth appearance in the last six years. 

Last year both finished in the top 10 at nationals, it was the first time in program history that both teams finished the year inside the top 10. 

The women have finished sixth each of the last-two seasons while the men are coming off their best finish since head coach Corey Ihmels took over the program in 2013 and the best in program history since they finished eighth in 1996.

LAST TIME OUT: The Broncos ran at the NCAA West Regional in Colfax Wash., where the women finished third and the men closed with a fifth-place finish. Both squads received at-large bids to nationals.

For the men, senior Miler Haller and juniors Elijah Armstrong and Ahmed Muhumed received All-West Region accolades.

On the women's side, Yukino Parle led the way with a seventh-place finish as all-five scoring Broncos earned All-West Region honors. Joining Parle were Maxine Paholek, Olivia Johnson, Lara Hamilton and Clare O'Brien.
