LAS VEGAS, Nev. - Stefan Lalovic's three-set singles victory on court six lifted Boise State past Montana Thursday afternoon as the Broncos rallied from behind twice to defeat the Grizzlies 4-2 at Las Vegas, Nev. Boise State dropped the doubles point 2-0 as Montana took the early lead. After trailing 1-0 and 2-1, the Broncos took control collecting the four key singles victories needed to secure the win as Wyatt DeMulling, Luka Soskic, Simon Arca Costas and Lalovic brought home their matches to clinch the team victory.

"I am really proud of the way the guys came back today after dropping the doubles point," said Boise State head coach Kristian Widen. "We continue to start slow in matches during the doubles point, but we will keep working it. I thought our singles play remains our strength and I was happy with how the guys responded after doubles. Wyatt (DeMulling) continues to be steady for us winning his eighth straight match. Luka has been a great addition to the team and has made a big impact on our season as he continues to win at a high level. I also thought Stefan showed some grit today coming back to win his match in three sets to clinch it for us. Overall it is a good win for us."

Trailing 1-0 entering singles, Boise State knew it needed four singles wins to gain the team victory. DeMulling started it off by tying the match up at 1-1 when he quickly dispatched his opponent Oisin Shaffrey on court five in straight sets 6-1, 6-0. The junior improved to 18-8 on the season and 9-1 in spring duals.

After Montana had regained the lead at 2-1, Soskic brought the Broncos even again at 2-2 with a two-set victory 6-1, 6-3 at No. 2 singles over the Grizzlies' Max Korkh. Soskic continues to have an impressive spring since joining the squad in January as he improved to 9-1.

The third victory came at No. 4 singles where freshman Simon Arca Costas beat Ed Pudney 6-1, 6-4. The native of Spain is now a team-best 21-9 in singles on the year and 10-2 this spring.

That setup Lalovic for the team win. The sophomore from Las Vegas took on Montana's Pontus Hallgren. The Bronco fell behind early dropping set one, Lalovic then rallied to force the match into a decisive third where he put it away 4-6, 6-4, 6-2 to clinch the team victory. The three-set win improved Lalovic to 6-1 in spring duals and 9-2 on the year.

The Blue and Orange will take on UNLV Friday evening at 6 p.m. (MT) in the Mountain West Conference opener for both teams, followed by a MW contest at San Diego State on Sunday.
