BRONCOS HIT THE ROAD FOR THREE AND MW OPENERS

The Boise State men's tennis team is on the road this week for three matches. The Broncos open at Las Vegas, Nev., against the Montana Grizzlies (6-8) in a neutral site contest on Thursday at noon (MT), then they will face UNLV (10-4, 0-0 MW) in the Mountain West Conference opener for both schools at 6 p.m. (MT) on Friday. The weekend will conclude Sunday afternoon in San Diego, Calif., where Boise State will take on the San Diego State Aztecs at 1 p.m. (MT).

BOISE STATE VERSUS THIS WEEK'S OPPONENTS

Boise State has won 20 straight over the Grizzlies dating back to 1987. The Broncos are 9-4 all-time against the Rebels and 4-2 since joining the MW in 2012. Meanwhile, the Blue and Orange is 10-7 overall and 4-3 versus the Aztecs since joining the conference.

LAST TIME OUT

The Broncos took spring break off last week, prior to that they concluded a seven-match homestand going 2-0 over Pacific (4-3) and UTSA (4-0). Luka Soskic recorded both match clinchers on the week providing the key win over Pacific that broke a 3-3 tie when he won two tiebreakers to give the Blue and Orange victory. On Saturday versus UTSA he rolled past his opponent to give Boise State a decisive 4-0 victory over the Roadrunners. Wyatt DeMulling also won both of his singles matches on the week while Stefan Lalovic won a key match versus Pacific. Boise State has won six of its last seven matches and is now 9-3 overall.

BRONCOS KEEP ROLLING ON

The Broncos have already matched their win total from last season and are one win away from recording their most victories since the 2015-16 campaign (20-10). Boise State has made a noticeable improvement since the season began when they were ranked 184 overall, they have since moved up 101 positions to 83.

LEADING THE BRONCOS

Freshman Arca Costas is the first Bronco this season to record 20 singles victories and is 20-9 overall, he is also 9-2 in spring duals. Fellow freshman Simon Stenlund has been just as impressive going 16-6 overall and 4-2 in spring duals, while junior Wyatt DeMulling comes in with a 17-8 mark on the year and 8-1 record in duals.

AS A TEAM

The Broncos currently have an overall record of 9-3, with a 92-51 (.643) mark in singles on the year and 40-18 (.690) singles record in dual matches.

HEAD COACH KRISTIAN WIDEN
