Broncos Pick Up Five Event Titles in Nampa

Boise State secured victories in both the track and field at the NNU Invite
NAMPA, Idaho – The Boise State track and field teams picked up five victories at the NNU Invite, Saturday at the Brian and Nichole Bonner Track.
On the track, Kelly Moodry and MaLeigha Menegatti won event titles in the 400m and 400m hurdles, respectively. In the field, the Broncos got victories from Baylee Dodd in the shot put, while Justin Stattner and Amber Mallet swept the pole vault on the men's and women's side.
Moody posted the fastest 400m time of the day, running 56.41 for the victory. In the 400m hurdles, MaLeigha Menegatti won in a time of 1:04.04, while teammate Dafni Georgiou was fifth in 1:10.48.
For the second time this outdoor season, Stattner won the pole vault handily. The senior cleared 16'-6.75" (5.05m) for the victory. In the women's pole vault, Mallet took first in the event by clearing 11'-0.25" (3.36m).
Dodd continued her impressive season by claiming the victory in the shot put. Her best toss of 41'-8.5" (12.71m) was just enough to win by 7.5 inches. Drew Lindsley was solid in the throws for Boise State, taking third in both the discus (152'-2" / 46.38m) and the hammer (160'-4" / 48.87m).
The Broncos will return to action next weekend with four events in Southern California.
