Boise State opens the season on the road against Idaho, Friday, Aug. 23 at 8 p.m.. The home opener comes two days later as the Broncos host Eastern Washington, Sunday, Aug. 25 at 1 p.m.

PROMOTIONS: Sunday is Blue Out at Boas. Bronco fans who help fill the stands by wearing Blue will recieve a discounted $3 ticket at the gate. In addition, the first 50 fans to come to Boas will recieve a blue Bronco T-shirt.

IN STATE OPPONENTS: Boise State will begin its regular season against the rival Vandals for the second-straight year. The Broncos took home victory 2-1 last time in Boise. Boise State currently leads the all-time series 12-5-2. 

In the home opener, the Blue and Orange square off against Eastern Washington. The Broncos took home victory last season against the Eagles 2-0. Boise State leads the all-time series 11-1-1.

Returning firepower: Boise State returns 21 of its letterwinners including six starters. Starters include two-time defending Mountain West Player of the Year Raimee Sherle (20 goals) and McKenna Kynett (7 goals).

Additionally, the Broncos added nine freshmen to round out the roster.

MW PRESEASON COACHES POLL: For the first time in program history, the Broncos were selected by the conferences coaches to finish first the conference announced earlier last week. Boise State recieved four first place votes and 109 points. 

Last seasons conference tournament champions, San Jose State finished second with three first-place votes and 105 points. New Mexico also garnered three first-place votes while finishing with 104 points. 

ABOUT IDAHO: In the first season for head coach Jeremy Clevenger the Vandals finished the 2018 season in second place at 9-7-3 and made it to the semifinals of the Big Sky Conference Tournament.

ABOUT EASTERN WASHINGTON: The Eagles closed the 2018 campaign at even 8-8-3 to finish in sixth place in the Big Sky Conference. Eastern scored 24 goals in 2018 and led the
conference with 15.5 shots per game.
