Boise State collected its second sweep of the day with a 7-0 victory over the Redhawks Friday night.

BOISE, Idaho  - Boise State men's tennis collected its second sweep of the day Friday night when the Broncos beat Seattle U 7-0 at the Eagle Tennis Club. Boise State dominated the doubles portion of the match then cruised in singles led by senior Wyatt DeMulling's quick win at No. 2 singles to get the sweep rolling.

Eight Broncos contributed to the victory over the Redhawks to make it an all around team effort. Following the pair of wins Friday — including the 7-0 win over Montana State earlier in the day — the Blue and Orange improved to 2-1 on the year.

The Bronco energy was high to start the match, sweeping all three doubles contests. Boise State's 50th-ranked tandem of Blake Bayldon and Simon Arca Costas cruised to a 6-2 victory on court one over Alex Chan and Trenton Nield to improve to 8-1 on the year.

They were followed by the No. 2 doubles team of Michael Bott and Mark Papadopoulos who won 6-2, they are now 2-1 overall. The third doubles team of Kemal Karagozoglu and Ryland McDermott brought in the doubles sweep with a 6-1 victory on court three.

DeMulling started the ball rolling in singles when he stormed past Chan on court two 6-1, 6-2 to be the first Bronco off the court. The senior improved to 10-4 overall on the year.

Second off the court versus Seattle U was Papadopoulos on court five. The sophomore put away Juan Jaramillo in straight sets 6-1, 6-0 for his second victory as a Bronco. The transfer from East Tennessee State  — who sat out the fall semester at Boise State — is now 2-1 this spring.

The team victory clinching point came on court four by Bayldon. The junior easily beat Seattle's Lars Schmassmann in two sets 6-2, 6-1. Bayldon's two victories on the day moved him to 10-6 overall.

The last three matches also went the way of the Blue and Orange beginning with Karagozoglu's 6-1, 6-1 win on court five, followed by Arca Costas at No. 3 singles who won 6-3, 6-4 and Kyryll Kryvchun on court one where he came away with a 6-3, 6-4 victory. Kryvchun improved to a team-best 16-5 on the year, while Karagozoglu moved to 6-4 and Arca Costas to 9-6.

The Broncos will be back in action Sunday for another simultaneous match with the Boise State women when both teams face instate-rival Idaho State at 10 a.m. at the Eagle Tennis Club. The men will then host Whitman College at 4 p.m. the same day, also at the Eagle Tennis Cub.
