Broncos Record Six Wins on Day Two

NAMPA, Idaho – Boise State track and field closed out a dominate performance on day two of a split weekend.

At the Boise State Challenge, the Broncos recorded five-individual wins and a victory for the men in the 4x400m relay. They also established 10 personal records. Sophomore Dafni Georgiou won the 60m hurdles by nearly a tenth of a second with a time of 8.60.

Sophomore MaLeigha Menegatti paced a trio of Broncos finishing in the top-10 of the women's 800m. Menegatti took first with a time of 2:12.77. Christina Geisler set her best mark in the mile with a 4:55.83, to take the title.

On the men's side, Brayden Durfee led the way, setting PRs in the 60m and 200m dash. In the 60m, Durfee finished second with a time of 6.99. Following him were David Pierce (7.01) and Jose Rubio (7.02).

In the 400m, Caleb Hardy cruised to victory with a time of 48.18. Peter Lechman recorded his first win of the year, running a personal best 8:35.80 in the men's 3,000m.

At the Husky Classic in Seattle, the Blue and Orange scored five PRs on the day, including three in the men's mile.

Tiahna Vladic and Caleb Stamper each set a PR in the women's and men's mile, respectively. Henry Mong led the way for the men in the mile, finishing 12th, the highest mark for the Broncos at the Husky Invite on Saturday.

Next up for Boise State is the Last Chance College Elite Meet, hosted by Washington, Feb. 21-22 at Dempsey Indoor Track.
