
Broncos Earn Top-10 Finish in California

PALM DESERT, Calif. – Sophomore Hugo Townsend was 1-under over the back nine in Sunday's final round of the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate and earned a 13th-place finish.
Townsend completed the 54-hole tournament as the top Bronco (-2, 214). Skyler Eubank tied for 28th (E, 216) after a final round 2-over 74.
Boise State finished ninth in the 21-team field after entering the day in third place. The Broncos bested tournament-host Wyoming and Colorado from the Pac-12.
"The wind was swirling again today which made the course tough," Boise State assistant coach Kavan Eubank said. "We just did not make some key shots today and that was the difference."
Mason Schulze (+5, 221) tied for 47th, followed by Cameron Barzekoff (+7, 223) and Joe Neuheisel (+13, 229) who finished tied for 60th and tied for 86th, respectively.
