Boise State earns third-straight sweep to extend win streak to five.

RENO, Nev. - Boise State raced past the Nevada Wolf Pack to collect its third-straight sweep and 20th win of season on Thursday night in the Virginia Street Gym at Reno. The Bronco volleyball team dominated from the start and never trailed in the match as they extended their win streak to five and improved to 20-8 overall and 9-6 in Mountain West Conference play.

"I thought the team played solid throughout the match tonight," said head coach Shawn Garus. "Dani (Boss) did a good job of getting a lot of her teammates involved in the match. It was also good to see Jessica (Donahue) back in the lineup and for her to get the blocks record. We just need to keep the momentum and energy going in the final two weeks, especially heading to San Jose on Saturday to play a good Spartan team."

Boise State out hit the Wolf Pack .275 percent for 46 kills to .104 percent and 29 kills. The Broncos had 34 assists, five service aces 41 digs and nine blocks. The one statistic that Nevada beat the Blue and Orange in was surprisingly in blocks 10 to nine, the Broncos are ranked second nationally for blocks.

Boise State started slow in the first set hitting a match-low .176 percent, then steadily improved as the contest wore on hitting .323 percent in set two and .407 percent in the third. The Wolf Pack hit below six percent in the first two sets, then hit a match-high .241 in the third.

Lauren Ohlinger was the only Bronco to reach double-digit kills finishing with 11 on the night to go with one service ace for a team-high 12 points. She also had eight digs against Nevada.

Jessica Donahue returned to action for the first time in over two weeks, setting the school record for career blocks during the rally scoring era (2001-present) on the second play of the match, she finished with four blocks in the contest to give her a career total of 424. The senior middle blocker hit .353 percent and added a team-second-best nine kills to finish with 11 points.

Paige Bartsch matched Donahue's point total with eight kills, one service ace and four block assists. Alyssa Wissinger hit .455 percent for seven kills with one service ace, a team-high five block assists and had 10.5 points.

Senior setter Danielle Boss distributed 33 assists, tallied six kills, one service ace and four block assists. Boss' 33 assists moved her past Breann Nesselhuf (2009-11) for sixth-place all-time in career assists at Boise State with 3,082.

Meanwhile defensively, Allison Casillas recorded a team-high nine digs followed by Chey Jones and Ohlinger with eight apiece.

The fourth-place (tied) Broncos will be back in action Saturday when they travel to third-place San Jose State for a big Mountain West encounter at 2 p.m. (Mountain) in Spartan Gym.
