THE FRESNO STATE BULLDOGS:Â Â Fresno State is currently tied with Boise State for third in the conference with both teams sporting 4-2 marks in the league. These will be the first conference matches at home for the Bulldogs; a place where they have an impressive5-1 record overall.

Â
The second match did not go so well for the Broncos, as they fell to the undefeated Spartans 4-1 in a match that was closer than the score indicates. The Blue and Orange were a tiebreaker away from winning the doubles point and were close in the unfinished singles matches, but ultimately fell in the end as the Spartans continue to solidify their case as the best in the MW.Â
True-freshman Nicole Discenza has quietly put together a very impressive season for the Broncos. She is currently in the middle of a six-match win streak in singles – the longest active streak on the team – and has not lost a conference singles match this season. Discenza and fellow freshman Pauline Ernstberger (9-1 in singles) have both shined in their first seasons in the Blue and Orange.

The Blue and Orange were a tiebreaker away from winning the doubles point and were close in the unfinished singles matches, but ultimately fell in the end as the Spartans continue to solidify their case as the best in the MW.
