WHAT'S NEXT?

The Boise State women's tennis team (11-5, 5-3 MW) are back on the road again for the final two matches of the 2021 season. The Broncos will be taking on conference rivals Wyoming (April 24) and Colorado State (April 25) to round out the regular season as they try to better position themselves in the final Mountain West Standings.

THE OPPONENTS

THE WYOMING COWGIRLS: Wyoming's record this season is nearly identical to Boise State's (11-6, 5-2 MW) and the Cowgirls sit just above the Broncos in the Mountain West standings in fourth. After dropping their first two MW matches of the season, the Cowgirls are on a five-match winning streak in conference play, including wins over Fresno State and UNLV who are both tied for second in the conference.

THE COLORADO STATE RAMS:  It has been a difficult season for the Rams who have had eight of their matches canceled or postponed thus far this season, four of those being matches against MW opponents. Colorado State does have two wins in conference over Nevada and San Diego State.

LAST TIME OUT

Boise State was on the road in Fresno, Calif., for two matches against conference opponents Nevada and Fresno State. The Broncos were victorious in their first match against the Wolf Pack, winning four-straight singles matches after dropping the doubles point to win 4-1. In the second contest, however, Boise State fell in a heartbreaker as a three-set match on court four did not fall its way and Fresno State came out on top 4-3 to pass the Broncos in the conference standings.

STATS TO WATCH FOR

Vanessa Timm collected career singles win No. 53 with her match-clinching victory against Nevada on Saturday. Timm now stands in the top-30 in program history in career singles wins after becoming the 31st Bronco to eclipse the 50-win mark earlier this season.

Since being elevated to the Broncos' No. 2 option in singles, freshman Pauline Ernstberger has been unstoppable, winning all seven of her matches at the position. She leads the team in singles wins and winning percentage this season with her overall record of 11-1 and has made a major statement as a first-year player for the Blue and Orange.

AT THE HELM

Beck Roghaar is in his eleventh year in charge of the Broncos and has led his teams to winning records in seven of those seasons. The two-time conference coach of the year honoree holds a 126-100 record. He has also had nine of his teams earn ITA All-Academic Team recognition.
