Defense Serves Shutout But Broncos Draw With Wolf Pack

9/26/2021 5:06:00 PM | Women's Soccer

RENO, Nev. – A standout performance from the Boise State back line kept Nevada off the scoreboard but the offense was unable to break through as Sunday's match in Reno finished in a 0-0 draw.

The Bronco defense did a superb job limiting the Wolf Pack's scoring opportunities, clearing several chances in the box and only allowing three shots in the match. Goalkeeper Genevieve Crenshaw was untested in her fifth career shutout as all three of Nevada's attempts were off-target.

It was a frustrating afternoon for the Boise State offense, however, as they generated 21 shots including eight on goal but were never able to put it past Nevada's keeper Kendal Stovall. The Broncos also outpaced the Wolf Pack in corners eight to three.

Up next Boise State is back on the road for trips to San Diego State (Oct. 1) and New Mexico (Oct. 3).
