Broncos Notch Nine Top-10 Finishes in Season Opener

TWIN FALLS, Idaho – Boise State cross country opened the 2021 season in strong fashion, earning nine top-10 finishes at the CSI Classic in Twin Falls, Idaho, Friday. The women's squad topped the field, while the men finished second.
In the women's 5k, Junior Tyler Beling led Boise State, taking third just ahead of her teammate, Olivia Johnson. Delaney Griffin finished four seconds behind Johnson, followed by Autumn Ost (seventh-place finish) and Tiahna Vladic (eighth).
On the men's side, senior Max Milarvie was the first member of the Blue and Orange to cross the finish line in the 7k, notching a fourth-place finish in his debut as a Bronco. Three Boise State runners followed closely behind as Ahmed Ibrahim, Nathan Dunn and Matty Mackay garnered sixth, seventh and eighth, respectively.
Next, the Broncos will take two weeks off before heading to Springfield, Ore., for the Bill Dellinger Invitational hosted by Oregon, Sept. 23.
