Quotables
Shawn Garus, Head Coach
  • On the match overall and how the team responded to San Diego State's pressure. "I thought we played really well the first two sets and I'm really happy with how we came out and how aggressive we were. But San Diego State made a couple of adjustments and got the momentum back in the third set, then it was on from there. I give San Diego State a lot of credit for battling back and pushing us, the match could have gone either way."
  • On how the team continues to respond when they're pressured as a team makes a run. "I don't think that's an easy part of our game, momentum swings all the time. It's something I think our team is learning from this season and improving on. We certainly have some key players that we look to carry a really big load. But what really helps you be consistent is to get production from a lot of people and I think we're getting better at that every day."
