DELAYED START
Boise State's women's tennis program experienced a delay to the start of their team dual season for health and safety concerns related to the COVID pandemic. As a result, the Broncos were scheduled to open play on Feb. 4-5 in Provo, Utah, but were forced to delay that start until Feb. 26, when they faced 28th-ranked Washington. Three matches were canceled versus Dixie State, BYU, and UTEP, while one contest versus Idaho State was moved to last weekend (March 4).

LAST TIME OUT
Boise State cruised to an impressive 6-1 victory over instate-rival Idaho last Sunday in Boise. The Blue and Orange won the doubles points, then closed out the match with five of six singles victories. Shauna Heffernan clinched the victory with her straight-set win 6-1, 6-3 on court six.

LEADING THE BRONCOS
Six Broncos have recorded double-digit victories on the year, including the fall and spring seasons. Holly Stewart leads the group at 14-5, followed by Joana Baptista at 13-3, Nicole Discenza at 13-4, Bhakti Shah at 12-7, Pauline Ernstberger at 12-4, and Ana Conde Vendrell at 10-6.

In doubles play, the tandem competing at No. 1 is Baptista and Discenza, where they are 3-1 this spring and 5-2 on the year. Stewart and Shauna Heffernan have gone 3-0 at No. 2 doubles in team duals and are 5-1 overall. Also in doubles, Stewart has gone 12-4 overall with four different partners, while Discenza is 11-5 on the year with four teammates.
