WHAT'S HAPPENING
The Beach Broncos (18-9) will close the 2022 campaign this weekend when they travel to Salt Lake City for four contests. On Friday, Boise State will face Salt Lake CC (1-2) in an exhibition contest at 1 p.m. (Mountain), followed by a match versus 13th-ranked Cal Poly (17-15) at 5 p.m. The Broncos will take on the Utah Utes (8-15) at 9 a.m. on Saturday, followed by a rematch with Salt Lake CC at 1 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
Boise State is coming off a bye week, preceded by a 3-1 mark at Sacramento, Calif., April 8-9. In Sacramento, the Blue and Orange defeated Sacramento State twice ( 5-0 and 4-1) and Santa Clara (4-1) once to go with a loss to San Jose State (3-2). The two teams of Danielle Boss and Madison Nichols, and Sierra Land and Rorianna Chartier both went undefeated, going 4-0 at Sacramento to lead Boise State.

ABOUT THE BEACH BRONCOS

Boise State is in its ninth season overall, the first program in the Pacific Northwest.
Win Record Set: The Broncos enter the weekend with a school record for wins in a season at 18-9 overall. They are 4-0 at home, 5-3 away, and 9-6 in neutral contests.
Versus Ranked Opponents: The Broncos are 0-6 versus nationally-ranked teams.
Versus Unranked Opponents: Boise State is 18-3 versus unranked opponents.
Five pairs have recorded at least 12 wins for Boise State.
Danielle Boss and Madison Nichols are 18-9, playing primarily on courts three and four.
Rorianna Chartier and Sierra Land are 16-11 overall, between the No. 1 and 2 positions.
Joey Benson and Emilia Guerra-Acuna are 16-9, playing in the four and five slots.
The senior tandem of Erin Martin and Yasmin Tan have played nearly all their matches on court one while recording an overall record of 12-12.
Kaylee Mejia and Sharli O'Neil have split time between the No. 2 through No. 4 positions, going 12-6.

ABOUT THE ROSTER
The 2022 roster consists of 15 student-athletes: One fifth-year, four seniors, two juniors, three sophomores, and four freshmen (one redshirt freshman). This year's roster features beach-only players primarily, with 12 of the 15 focusing on the sport. The three other members also compete for the indoor team: Danielle Boss, Alli O'Harra, and Alyssa Wissinger.

ABOUT THE SCHEDULE
The 2022 schedule features the most regular-season matches in program history with 29 and two exhibitions; the previous high was 19 in 2019. This year's schedule includes seven matches versus teams ranked in the current top-20 nationally. Ten contests are against Pacific-12 Conference opponents, four from the West Coast Conference and seven from the Big West Conference.
