WHAT'S HAPPENING
Boise State (12-7, 1-1 MW) will be on the road this weekend as the Broncos continue Mountain West Conference action at Air Force on Friday (April 8) at 2 p.m. (Mountain), followed by a match at New Mexico on Sunday at noon (MT).
LAST TIME OUT
The Blue and Orange opened the conference season at home last weekend, where it split with Nevada and UNLV, falling 4-3 to the Wolf Pack before regrouping to beat the Rebels 4-1.
AIR FORCE MATCH PREVIEW
The Falcons split a pair of contests last week, defeating Oral Roberts 6-1 in Colorado before falling 4-1 at New Mexico in their league opener. They enter this week's competition at 12-7 overall and 0-1 in MW play. The Broncos hold a slim lead in the all-time series 8-7 and have won the last two encounters, both in Boise, 4-2 in 2021 and 4-1 in 2019.
NEW MEXICO MATCH PREVIEW
The Lobos won their only match last week 4-1 over Air Force in Albuquerque. New Mexico enters the week 7-9 overall, 1-0 in league play, and 6-1 at home. Boise State holds a 20-11 advantage in the all-time series since 1986 and won last year's meeting 4-3 in Boise.

LEADING THE BRONCOS
Arca Costas currently leads Boise State with a team-high 17 singles victories (17-8) this season. The senior also leads in career singles wins with 70, good for 20th all-time in school history.
Jan Lucca Marquardt comes in with the second-most singles victories this season with 12, Ryo Minakata follows with 11.
In team duals, the Broncos are led by their No. 1 tandem of Arca Costas and Caden Moortgat, who are 9-5 overall, 7-5 on court one, and 2-0 on court two.
IMPACT FRESHMEN
Boise State added two freshmen at semester break in Pedro Liborio (Caldas Da Rainha, Portugal) and James Van Herzeele (Phuket, Thailand), both have impacted the team's success to date. Liborio is the five-time MW Freshman of the Week going 7-7 at No. 1 singles and 2-2 at No. 2, while Van Herzeele had gone 10-6 in singles, splitting time between the No. 4-6 positions.
