
Broncos Hit the Road for Third-Straight Week

 The Broncos (6-3) are on the road for the third-straight week, this time heading to Logan, Utah, to face New Mexico at 2 p.m. (MT) on Saturday, then Air Force at 10 a.m. (MT) on Sunday.

 LAST TIME OUT
 Boise State has been on the road the previous two weeks to open Mountain West Conference play. Most recently, they were in Reno. Nev., last weekend where they defeated Nevada 4-3 and Utah State 4-1.Â

NEW MEXICO PREVIEW
New Mexico has lost six straight entering the week, including a pair of matches last weekend in Laramie, Wyo., to Wyoming 4-0 and Colorado State 4-0. They enter the week at 9-7 overall and 0-4 in the league. The all-time series between the Broncos and Lobos is tied at 6-6, dating back to 2007; Boise State won last year's encounter 4-2 in Boise.

AIR FORCE PREVIEW
The Falcons enter the week at 14-4 overall and 3-1 in MW action. Air Force is coming off a split last weekend at Laramie, Wyo. It lost to Colorado State 4-2, then beat Wyoming 4-2. Boise State has dominated the all-time series 7-1 but the two teams have split the last two times, with the Broncos winning 4-0 in Boise last year and Air Force winning 5-2 at USAFA, Colo., in 2019.

Six Broncos have recorded double-digit victories, including the fall and spring seasons. Holly Stewart leads the group at 17-7, Joana Baptista at 14-7, Bhakti Shah at 14-7, Pauline Ernstberger at 14-5, Nicole Discenza at 13-7, and Ana Conde Vendrell at 12-8.

 In doubles play, the tandem competing at No. 1 is Baptista and Discenza, where they are 7-2 this spring and 9-3 on the year. Stewart and Shauna Heffernan have gone 6-1 at No. 2 doubles in team duals and are 8-2 overall. Also in doubles, Stewart has gone 15-5 overall with four different partners, while Discenza is 15-6 on the year with four teammates.
