Broncos Win Three Titles at ITA Bedford Cup in the Mountains

USAFA, Colo. – Boise State men's tennis recorded another successful weekend claiming three titles at the ITA Bedford Cup in the Mountains at the U.S. Air Force Academy.

Nine schools competed at the tournament in Colorado with the Broncos taking three of the eight championships.

Caden Moortgat won the singles Eagle Draw championship on Sunday with a straight-sets victory over Denver's Mitch Johnson 6-1, 6-3.

Boise State won both doubles titles, the main draw, and the consolation draw. Moortgat and Sam Sippel teamed up to win the doubles main draw with a tough 7-6(5) victory over Weber State's Elyes Marouani and Tristan Sarap.

In the consolation doubles final Boise State's Michael Bott and Jan Lucca Marquardt battled to a 6-3 win over Idaho's Matteo Masala and Alex Asenov.

BRONCO LEADERS

Sam Sippel went 3-1 in the singles Lightning Draw, falling in the final.
Caden Moortgat went 4-0 in the singles Eagle Draw and won the championship.
Sippel and Moortgat went 4-0 in doubles play to win the main draw's title.
Bott and Marquardt went 3-1 overall and battled through the consolation bracket to win the championship.

Boise State will host the Dar Walters Classic this coming weekend at the Appleton Tennis Center on campus.
