Broncos Record Five Top-Five Finishes in Texas and Washington

BOISE, Idaho – The Boise State track and field team registered five top-five finishes, as the Broncos split their squad, competing in both Texas (Jan. 26-28) and Washington (Jan. 27-28).

In Lubbock, Texas, senior MaLeigha Menegatti garnered a gold-medal finish at the Texas Tech Open & Multis, topping the podium in the women's 600-meter race with a time of 1:29.67.

Freshman Abby Stamper secured a top-five finish in the women's 600m, recording a personal best of 1:35.33.

The women's 4x400m relay concluded the meet, with the team of Alyssa Cullen, Menegatti, Nyenuchi Okemgbo, and Anita Taviore placing eighth, running the second-fastest time in program history (3:42.04).

Meanwhile, in Seattle, Wash., freshman Kaiya Robertson etched her name in the record book, running the fifth-fastest time in Bronco history in the women's mile (4:44.87).

In the women's 3000m, six of the eight Broncos set new personal records, including sophomores Lauren Larson and Abby Kendrick who improved their times by over 11 seconds each.

On the men's side, sophomore Ahmed Ibrahim garnered a fourth-place finish, notching the fifth-fastest time in the 3000m all-time (7:56.23).

Six Broncos earned personal bests in the men's 3000m, including sophomore Murdoch McIntyre who shattered his personal record by more than 20 seconds (8:07.11).
