Boise State men's tennis will close out the fall season this weekend (Nov. 3-5) with a road trip to Dallas, where the Broncos will compete in the Ralston/Neufeld Coaches Challenge on the campus of SMU.Representing Boise State
The Broncos are sending a four-man contingent to the tournament by Caden Moortgat, James Van Herzeele, Jan Lucca Marquardt and John Chin.Last Year in Dallas
Both Moortgat and Van Herzeele participated in the 2022 edition of the Ralston/Neufeld Coaches Challenge, with Moortgat going a combined 6-2 overall, 3-1 in singles and 3-1 in doubles. Meanwhile, Van Herzeele finished the tournament 3-1 in singles.So Far This Year
Entering the 2023 tournament, Moortgat has a record of 6-3 in singles and 3-3 in doubles, Chin is 1-2 in singles, Marquardt is 5-3 in singles and 7-1 in doubles, while Van Herzeele has gone 2-1 in singles.The Field
The field includes 64 representatives from 16 schools: Air Force, Arkansas, Boise State, BYU, California, Harvard, Memphis, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Rice, TAMU Corpus Christi, TCU, Texas Tech, Tulsa, UT Arlington, and the host school SMU.The Format/Schedule
- Friday will consist of two rounds of doubles and one for singles.
- Saturday will feature two rounds for singles and one for doubles
- Sunday will have one round for both singles and doubles.
