Broncos Come Up Short in Battle in Spokane

SPOKANE, Wash. – Boise State men's basketball had a chance at a tying 3-pointer with 19.5 seconds, but Max Rice's shot didn't fall to lead to a 66-61 loss to Washington State, Thursday at the Spokane Arena.
The Broncos (8-4) shot 36-percent from the field but managed 37 rebounds and 30 points in the paint.
Tonight's game featured nine ties and 10 lead changes.
Chibuzo Agbo hit a 3-pointer with 1:19 remaining to pull Boise State within one point, 62-61. Roddie Anderson III went to the rim against two defenders but was unable to finish for the lay in. The Cougars (9-2) made a pair of free throws to go up three points to set up Rice's potential game-tying shot.
Tyson Degenhart posted a double-double while O'Mar Stanley had a career night with 23 points.
