WHAT'S NEXT: Boise State men's basketball continues its four-game homestand with Western Oregon coming to town on Saturday, Dec. 9, at 2 p.m. MT. This is the second meeting in program history between the two schools – the game will count toward Boise State's record but is an exhibition for the visiting Wolves.
LAST TIME OUT: Down by six points with 1:49 remaining, the Broncos ended on an 11-0 run to defeat North Texas, 69-64, on Tuesday night. Chibuzo Agbo and Tyson Degenhart combined for 69% of Boise State's scoring while the defense forced 19 turnovers.
OUT OF THE FIRE…: Tuesday's game concluded a stretch of seven-straight games against teams ranked in the top 100 of KenPom at the time of tipoff. The Broncos went 4-3 in that stretch: defeating San Francisco, VCU, Saint Mary's and North Texas; with losses coming at Clemson and to Virginia Tech and Butler on a neutral court.
…INTO THE ARMS OF HOME: Boise State has won 17-straight games at home dating back to last season's win against Utah Valley. The 17-game home win streak is the second-longest in program history, and the Broncos have a chance to establish a program record of 20-straight home wins at the conclusion of the current homestand.
STRENGTH OF SCHEDULE: Despite checking in at No. 129 in the NET rankings, all three of Boise State's losses have come in Quad 1 & 2 games. The Broncos average opponent NET ranking is the fourth-highest in the country – the combined record of the three schools ahead is 1-20.
CAREER NIGHT FOR AGBO: Chibuzo Agbo had a career night in Boise State's 69-64 win over North Texas. He tied his career for field goals on a 7-11 performance, and set career highs for 3-pointers (6) and points (27) to go along with a team-high four rebounds. It was the most points scored by a Bronco since Max Rice scored 26 against San Diego State (Feb. 28).
IRON MAN: Since missing the first game of the season due to a broken nose suffered in the preseason, Tyson Degenhart has been a mainstay in Boise State's lineup. Degenhart is averaging 33.9 minutes per game this season (92nd nationally, ninth Mountain West) and has played 36+ minutes in four out of the last five games.
