TEMPE, Ariz. - Boise State softball defeated Michigan State 3-2 to close out the Sun Devil Classic, hosted by Arizona State, Sunday.

The Blue and Orange (9-10) were the first to score, with a double to left center from Jordyn Hutchins bringing a runner across the plate in the bottom of the fourth.

The Spartans (7-12) responded in the next inning, tying the game 1-1.

Boise State took the lead in the sixth inning when a single to right center from Abby Bumcrot sent two runners home, giving the Broncos the victory. Taylor Caudill took the win in the circle and Lindsey Walljasper recorded the save.
