Flores and Hutchins Lead Broncos in Third Conference Series Sweep

SAN JOSE, Calif. – Eliyah Flores and Jordyn Hutchins went 6-for-7 (.857) at the plate and combined for two home runs and six RBI in a 10-2 mercy-rule victory to complete the conference series sweep against San Jose State.

The Broncos (23-12, 10-2 Mountain West) were the first team to get on the board after Hutchins and Flores knocked a pair of home runs into center field in the top of the second.

The duo each also collected a pair of RBI-singles in the third and sixth innings.

Mykenzie Hanna drove in a runner in the top of the third with an RBI-single to give the Blue and Orange a 3-0 lead.

In the sixth inning, Hollie Farmer recorded an RBI-single and Megan Lake hit a sacrifice fly, putting Boise State up 10-0.

Despite the Spartans (19-23, 7-9) scoring two runs in the bottom of the sixth, Lindsey Walljasper (9-3) and the Broncos walked away with the win.
