Shields Adds Oklahoma Transfer Jip van Assendelft

BOISE, Idaho – Boise State Head Men's Tennis Coach Luke Shields announced today the addition of Jip van Assendelft from the University of Oklahoma.

The native of Nederweert, the Netherlands, played his freshman season for the Sooners going 5-5 overall in singles and 3-1 in doubles. Last fall, he collected two wins at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's (ITA) All-American Championship.

Van Assendelft's career-high ITF ranking was 477 in July of 2022 and his pre-college UTR was 13.01.
