Boise State Hosts Texas Southern for First Time Since 2012

WHAT'S NEXT: Boise State men's basketball returns to action Tuesday night and hosts Texas Southern (2-8) at ExtraMile Arena. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. MT on Mountain West Network.

ALL TIME VS. TEXAS SOUTHERN: In the lone head-to-head meeting between the two programs, Boise State beat Texas Southern, 81-63, on Nov. 11, 2012.

QUAD 1 WINS: Through 10 games this season, the Broncos have notched two Quad 1 wins. Boise State defeated Clemson, 84-71, at home on Nov. 17 and Saint Mary's, 67-65, on Dec. 14 at a neutral site.  

SUCCESS AT THE OUTSET: For the third consecutive year, Boise State has won at least seven of its first 10 games. Last season, the Broncos started the year 7-3 and were 8-2 to open the 2022-23 campaign.

STREAK VS. NON CONFERENCE FOES: The Broncos have won 16 consecutive non-conference home games, a streak that dates back to Nov. 26, 2022 (W, 87-69 vs. Utah Valley). The Broncos host Texas Southern on Tuesday and are looking to extend the streak to 17.

CHARITY STRIPE SUCCESS: As a team, Boise State has made 189-of-241 free throw attempts this season. The team is shooting 78.4% from the charity stripe which ranks 22nd in the nation.

THE OPPONENT: Entering Tuesday's game, Texas Southern is 2-8 and 0-7 on the road. Their two wins this season have come against Texas A&M-San Antonio and Texas A&M-Kingsville.
