BOISE, Idaho – Ollie Newman highlighted a split weekend for the Boise State track and field team, as he became one of only three Bronco men to run a sub-four minute mile.

Newman garnered a fourth-place finish in the men's mile with a personal-best time of 3:59.79. He now moves up to third in the program's indoor top-five performance list in the event.

On the women's side, Kaiya Robertson also ran a personal-best in the women's mile, placing 18th in 4:39.77. She currently sits third in the program's all-time indoor list in the event.

At the Don Kirby Invitational in Albuquerque, N.M., Janiah Brown placed second in the women's 800-meter with a time of 2:07.59. She trailed unattached Bronco alum MaLeigha Menegatti at each split. Menegatti, the 2023 Mountain West Indoor 800m Champion, won the race in 2:06.77, just 0.82 seconds ahead of Brown.
