MALIBU, Calif. – Boise State beach volleyball finished 3-1 over two days of competition at the Pepperdine Classic.

The first dual of the weekend featured two teams that are receiving votes in the AVCA Collegiate Beach Poll. The Broncos jumped out to a 2-0 lead over Pepperdine after straight-set wins on courts two and four. Sharli O'Neil and Elli Wolthuis picked up a third win on court five, propelling Boise State to a 4-1 victory over the Waves.

The Broncos faced No. 20 Arizona in the second dual of the weekend, falling behind 2-0 after the first wave. Boise State tied the match with two victories on courts one and five, but couldn't complete the reverse sweep after falling 26-24, 23-21 on court three.

Boise State finished the weekend with two straight-set sweeps on Saturday, defeating both San Francisco and Vanguard to complete the weekend.

- Boise State is 7-3 to start the season, matching last year's team for the best start in program history through 10 games.
- The win over Pepperdine was the first victory over the Waves in program history

What's Next
The Broncos will return to action on March 7 at the Queen's Cup in Honolulu, Hawaii. Boise State will open with duals against Saint Mary's and No. 10 Hawaii on Thursday, followed by Pepperdine and Chaminade on Friday. The team will compete in bracket play on Saturday.
