WHAT'S NEXT: Boise State men's basketball begins its final homestand of the season, Saturday against New Mexico. Tipoff against the Lobos is at 6 p.m. on CBS Sports Network.

LAST TIME OUT: The Broncos held a 28-26 lead at halftime against Air Force, but a 17-1 stretch over a 7:37 span in the second lifted them to a 79-48 win at the Falcons. It was the second 30-point win over Air Force this season, and the fourth game in a row Boise State scored at least 79 points.

TIED FOR FIRST: Boise State is still alive in the Mountain West title race. The Broncos are tied with Utah State for first place with an 11-4 record. The conference does not utilize tiebreakers to determine a regular season champion. If both teams win out, they will be declared co-champions.

ELEVEN MOUNTAIN WEST WINS: The Broncos have won at least 11 conference games in nine of the last 10 seasons – five straight. Boise State and San Diego State are the only Mountain West programs to have won 11 conference games each of the last five seasons.

AT THE PEAK: The Mountain West is one of three conferences to have six teams ranked in the top 40 of the current NET.

BY THE NUMBERS:
  • +26.8: Over its last four games, Boise State is defeating opponents by an average of 26.8 points per game.
  • 72: Over the last four games, the Broncos have scored 72 points off the bench. Boise State scored 18 against Fresno State, 23 against San Jose State, 16 at Wyoming and 15 at Air Force. Those are the top four scoring outputs from the bench in league play this season.
  • 26: The Broncos are currently ranked 26th in the NET. Boise State rose 18 spots in the NET during the month of February — it ranked No. 44 on Feb. 1 and dropped as low as 49th (Feb. 11).
  • Only Nevada's rise of 28 spots (65 to 37) was larger than the Broncos' in the month of February.
  • 40: In players in the significant contributors category (20-24% of possessions used), Tyson Degenhart is 40th in KenPom's offensive rating metric. His offensive rating of 129.1 is second in the Mountain West among all players, and best among players used in at least 20% of possessions.
  • 18.3: Junior forward Tyson Degenhart is averaging 18.3 points per game in conference play. He's scored 15+ in 11 games and 20+ in nine league games. The last Boise State player to average 18 points per game in conference play was Derrick Alston, Jr. (18.1 ppg) in 2020-21.  Degenhart is third in the league in scoring in conference games, trailing only Great Osobor (18.5) and Jaedon LeDee (20.3).
