Broncos Head to Arkansas for NCAA West Preliminary Rounds

  • The NCAA West Preliminary Rounds will be held at John McDonnell Field in Fayetteville, Ark. This four-day meet will begin Wednesday, May 22.
  • Last time Boise State was out on the track, three Broncos went home with medalist honors at the Mountain West Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Austen Apperson and Ollie Newman both garnered silver medals in the men's 3,000-meter steeplechase and men's 1,500-meter, respectively. Emily Jobes placed third in the women's 3,000m steeplechase.
  • To qualify for the preliminary rounds, the top 48 declared student-athletes were accepted for each individual event.
  • To qualify for the championships, the top 12 competitors from each individual event advance from each first round. The list of qualifiers from each event contested in the first rounds will be announced by 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 26. The final list of the championships competition participants will be announced by 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 28.
